Note: This feature is still in beta, which means it may not act as expected 100% of the time. Based on our testing, we've decided it's ready for production โ but please let us know if there's anything we may have missed.
The Issue
We've heard from many of our users who were spending a lot of time manually updating their Submissions as funders respond.
Every time you get a response, you open it; but if you don't mark it in Fundmore right away, the email will be read and then you might forget about it.
So you either have to mark it as unread (if you remember to), or interrupt your workflow to update the submission. These interruptions add up and harm your productivity.
Our Goal
We know how valuable your time is and we want to give as much of it back to you as possible.
The ultimate goal is for our users to be able to run their MCA shops on autopilot, with little human intervention.
Although we aren't there yet, this feature brings us a step closer in that direction.
How It Works
Once you've enabled this feature (see instructions below) for a specific Sender, the workflow will run every 15 minutes and read in your new emails.
Don't worry: This feature will not affect your emails in any way. It will not delete them, mark them as read, or apply any labels. It is strictly read-only.
It'll filter for only the emails that match the domain of one of your Funders in Fundmore.
If the email is not a direct reply to your Submission, but rather in its own thread, it'll use AI to match the correct Submission from that Sender.
Then it'll use AI to classify the email, extract key information, and take action in Fundmore:
Email classification | Extracted info | Action taken |
approved |
|
|
declined |
|
|
pending |

To set up the Auto Process Funder Responses feature, you need to enable it for a Sender and enter your IMAP information. Click below for more on how to do so.
If something isn't clear in this article or you have a question about any related topics, feel free to send a message to us and we'll get to it as soon as we can.
Now you can get back to funding more, with Fundmore!
